Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the NodusCad software and related services ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.
Description of Service
NodusCad is a Light Steel Frame (LSF) CAD application for 3D modeling, automatic framing, detailing, and internal structural analysis. When the optional NC module is enabled, the Service can also generate fabrication files for roll-forming machines. The Service includes the desktop application, web dashboard, license management, and related support.
Account Registration
You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. You must immediately notify us of any unauthorized use.
License Terms
- Each license is granted to a single user and may be active on one device at a time.
- Licenses are non-transferable unless explicitly authorized by NodusCad support.
- The Free plan lasts 30 days and has no project-count limit during that term. Each Free project remains subject to the permanent Project–License Binding below and to the feature and export restrictions on the Pricing page.
- License keys must not be shared, published, or distributed to third parties.
- We reserve the right to revoke licenses that violate these terms.
Project–License Binding
Each license has an immutable server-side License Identity, which is distinct from its license key, user, account, device, or email address. Every project is permanently bound to the License Identity under which it is first created or validly claimed.
- A Free license may create and use multiple projects without a time or project-count limit, but every project remains bound to that same Free License Identity.
- A project can be opened, saved, processed, or used only with its original License Identity. Renaming, copying, restoring a backup, duplicating, or using Save As does not transfer or replace the binding.
- To use Pro features on a Free project, you must upgrade that same Free License Identity. Purchasing or activating a different Pro license does not grant access to the project.
- Once a project is created or used under Pro, its Pro requirement is permanent and cannot return to Free. If Pro expires or is cancelled, access remains suspended until that same License Identity is renewed or reactivated as Pro.
- Optional modules, including NC, grant separate capabilities on the same license and do not alter or transfer project ownership.
- A legacy project without a binding becomes permanently bound to the first License Identity that validly opens or claims it after this mechanism is introduced. This technical restriction does not transfer ownership of your project content to NodusCad.
Payments and Subscriptions
Paid plans are billed through Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis within 14 days of purchase. Prices may change with 30 days' notice.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the software.
- Attempt to bypass license verification or activation mechanisms.
- Alter, remove, or bypass a Project–License Binding.
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
- Share, sell, or redistribute license keys.
- Create multiple accounts to evade Free plan limits.
Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of the Service are owned by NodusCad and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Your use of the Service does not grant you ownership of any intellectual property.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Models, detailing, structural analysis results, and generated fabrication data should be reviewed and verified by a qualified professional before manufacturing or construction.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, NodusCad shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to errors in modeling, detailing, structural analysis results, or generated fabrication data.
Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violation of these terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. You may delete your account at any time through the dashboard settings.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or dashboard notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
